Welcome to Korrigan Lodge

Korrigan Lodge is located in Punta Uva, south of Puerto Viejo, on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. As a real jungle lodge should be, this small family hotel recently built is nestled in the tropical forest within the Manzanillo-Gandoca wildlife refuge, a few miles north of the border with Panama. This is an ideal place to fully appreciate the richness of nature with its lush vegetation and its abundance of animal life.

Take a walk through the Lodge’s winding paths, home to so many differents birds, animals and flowers. Or you may want to simply lounge on your porch, carried away by the sounds of the forest and the serenity of this preserved natural shrine. Or perhaps you prefer to meditate under the canopy of the majestic century-old trees.

Monkeys, toucans, sloths, iguanas, hummingbirds, butterflies and much more. Every encounter will remain an unforgettable experience.

Real jungle Lodge just a few steps from the beach !

Only a few steps away from the Lodge, you’ll find a completely different groove on the picture perfect white sand beaches of Punta Uva, the most beautiful Caribbean beach in Costa Rica. This is where the jungle ends and the palm trees border crystal clear waters, home to an impressive coral reef perfect for snorkeling.

A little bit of history:

The southern Caribbean coast is a unique and culturally-diverse region of Costa Rica. The predominant Afro-Caribbean culture co-exists harmoniously with the preserved customs of the native Bribri and Cabecar indigenous people whose territories are more inland within the Talamanca Mountains. The Jamaican roots are reflected in the architecture, the delicious coconut-based gastronomy, the dialect (a mix of Caribbean English and Spanish) and the live calypso and reggae rhythms drifting through the air of the charming villages of Cahuita, Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo.
